“It’s more about kindness than it is being ‘nice’. I don’t even know what nice means half the time! Truth is, he’s right. Who? Fred-Michael Capalby. The people around him know him as a people and culture leader and a successful business leader with accomplishments in Human Resources, Client Management, and Business Operations. Well, that’s the case for the people in his life who don’t call him “Dad” or thank him for taking out the trash before he settles down to watch the Patriots play. But to the rest of the world, Fred-Michael has built a career off of his passion for leading people into greatness and success.

Blame it on his Italian roots or the fact that he’s worked with companies like Walt Disney and Warner Bros Entertainment, but Fred-Michael knows enough to know that ‘nice’ is a yuppie word. “My desire is to truly help people be the best they can be. I want to make people feel comfortable, but it’s in their best interest if that comfort doesn’t turn into complacency.” Fred-Michael Capalby lives by the motto of “PACE” (positive attitude changes everything). One of the things Fred-Michael has always wanted to instill in the people he’s leading – whether on the work or home front – is that one’s thought life becomes their reality. “You really are what you think. So, think big, plan well, and love the process of execution.”

Fred-Michael Capalby is a lover of aesthetics and the power of beauty. With an affinity for fashion and a love of writing and brand creation, Fred-Michael’s current work as Sr. Director of Global Human Resources at VUBIQUITY, a global digital media and entertainment services company blends two of his favorite things – people and the arts. In this role, Fred-Michael leads and develops a global HR scorecard that plans, drives, and reports against programs designed specifically to increase organizational effectiveness including re-imagining and re-engineering recruiting, performance management, and compensation programs. Prior to that, Fred-Michael Capalby was the US National Director of Human Resources for the company. 

Fred-Michael Capalby attended Northern Arizona University where he studied Marketing and Business Management. He is a Certified Personnel Consultant, and a Proposed Executive Board of Directors Member for Best Buddies California.

What’s life look like outside of work for Fred-Michael? Well, he’s the father to three impressive boys. He loves staying active and prioritizing mental and physical health, and he’s a devoted man of faith with a love for all people no matter their walk of life. “Oh, I also have three book drafts I’m working on. I really love writing. And if all of that sounds too ‘polished’,” Fred-Michael pauses for a moment to laugh. “I really love Hallmark movies — specifically the Christmas ones.”
